1. If you have persistent unbecoming odors coming from your mouth, you should first consult with your dentist. Your dentist can determine whether something more serious is going on that’s causing chronic bad breath. There are a variety of different illnesses and medical conditions that can lead to bad breath. Sinus infections, kidney problems, tooth decay or infection, and other medical ailments are just a few health concerns that cause unpleasant breath.

 

2. You know the importance of brushing your teeth at least twice daily, but squeezing in an extra brushing after lunch can help alleviate bread breath concerns. This will allow you to get rid of any odor causing bacteria.

 

3. It’s important to incorporate flossing with your normal brushing routine. Flossing more frequently between meals will help remove food that gets caught in hard-to-reach places between teeth where stinky bacteria can grow and thrive.

8. Drink plenty of water throughout the course of your day. A dry mouth is a breeding ground for smelly bacteria. Staying hydrated and keeping your mouth moist is important for your health and

 

9. Chewing sugar-free gum is another way to promote saliva production and reduce the symptoms of halitosis. Sugar-free candy may also help with saliva production but proper dental hygiene techniques should still be used after consuming any type of candy.

 

10. Don’t forget to blow your nose. Keeping your nasal passages clear can help promote fresher breath. When your nasal passages become blocked, odor causing bacteria becomes prevalent in your nose and throat. Something as simple as cleaning your nose could be the secret that you need to fight bad breath.
